Frequently Asked Questions
- What if I want to use my own existing domain name, instead of a new one?
Well, since we host your site on our server, we can't use an existing domain name directly. If you're Sampleco, and you already have a website at sampleco.com, we suggest getting a domain like samplecowhitepaper.com, to highlight the offer.
But if you're set on using your existing domain, there are a few workarounds we recommend. One is to embed the Leadcleaner form inside a single-frame frameset. This will be mostly transparent to the user, and have the effect of feeling just like a regular page. We can give you the snippet of code you'll need to place on your Web server. The other common workaround is to have the Leadcleaner form appear in a pop-up window -- you can even suppress the Address bar in the pop-up, so users won't notice that they're no longer on your website. Let us know if you need help implementing either of these tricks.
- How safe is my data with Leadcleaner?
We use a dedicated hosting environment, with daily off-site tape backups and hourly remote backups -- so we always have a backup which is less than an hour old, in the unlikely event of catastrophic failure. Even if the server were to be wiped out completely, we could have a new, identical box in place within 15 minutes.
- If all my respondents go to my Leadcleaner site at the same time, will the site crash or slow down?
No. Leadcleaner can currently handle about half a million responses per hour, or burst traffic of around 100 responses per second, without noticable slowdowns. Even if you're dropping 10 million pieces of mail on the same day, you'll likely see no more than 200,000 respondents, staggered over the course of two or three days.
- How long does it take for responses to show up in Leadcleaner's reporting tools?
It takes only a tiny fraction of a second for responses to show up, and your reports are recalculated on the fly, so you always have up-to-the-second accuracy.
- Can I build multi-part or branching forms?
No. This isn't supported in Leadcleaner at this time, due to the complex interface we'd need to help you build these kinds of forms. Let us know if it's something that's important to you.
- Can I collect responses on some kind of kiosk, not connected to the Internet?
This is something we've been working on... the short answer is, we can support offline data capture. Let us know if you'd like more information, and we can talk about how to support your specific needs.
- I don't want to build my own forms. Do you have a full-service option?
Yes. Contact us for details and pricing.
- How do you determine if a lead is "Hot" or "Cold"? Wouldn't it be different for each client and application?
When you build a form with Leadcleaner, YOU decide which qualifying questions you'd like to ask, how important each question is (weighting), and how optimal each possible response it. We take it from there, ranking each lead from 0 (disqualified) to 10 (perfect). If, after you start capturing leads, you decide your rankings were off, no problem -- when you changes your weighting or response-ranking, we automatically recalculate the "lead quality index" for each response.
- Do you offer wholesale or reseller pricing?
Since nearly all our business is with agencies, who already act as resellers, we only have one pricing tier. If you think you have a compelling reason why we should consider a different price structure, let us know, and we'll talk about it.
- Do you have discounted rates for non-profit concerns?
Yes! Contact us for more info.
- What kinds of companies does Leadcleaner work with?
Primarily advertising agencies, marketing/communications shops, and direct marketing firms. We will NOT work with spammers, multi-level marketers, or companies that violate our policies on customer data, unsolicited email, and privacy.
- What kind of campaigns is Leadcleaner suitable for?
Anything involving lead capture, rather than a direct transaction. If you're selling Ginsu knives, Leadcleaner is not a good fit. Since Leadcleaner doesn't run on SSL (Secure Socket Layer), it should not be used to transmit credit card numbers, Social Security numbers, etc. However, if you're capturing customer information to move them into the next step of a sales process, Leadcleaner is the perfect solution.
